Es steht nun fest – die Produktionen für Scary Movie 5 beginnen jetzt. Nachdem ziemlich lange verhandelt wurde übernimmt Malcolm Lee (42) (“Soul Men“) nun die Regie und bringt die Fortsetzung der bekannten Scary-Movie-Reihe heraus.

Lee, der bereits durch einige Filme ausreichend Erfahrung sammeln konnte, ist nicht nur für die Regie verantwortlich, auch die Drehbuchvorlage und die Produktion werden aus seiner Arbeit stammen.

Es wurde immer und immer wieder spekuliert und diskutiert, ob Dimension Films “Scary Movie 5“ überhaupt ins Rennen schickt. Das Ganze hat nun ein Ende. Für den Starttermin wurde der 11. Januar 2013 festgelegt.

David Zucker (64), der “Scary Movie 3“ und “Scary Movie 4“ inszeniert hatte, hat man sich getrennt. Er bleibt aber als Produzent erhalten. Ob man hier die altbekannten Gesichter sehen wird, weiß man noch nicht, denn es wurden noch keine Darsteller bekannt gegegben.
