 BlackBeats.FM: Hallo Dj Serom. Willkommen zum Interview mit BlackBeats.FM, einer der größten Webradiostations in Deutschland. Geht es dir gut?DJ Serom: Mir geht es gut, danke. Es freut mich eure Fragen beantworten zu dürfen. BlackBeats.FM: Im Bereich des Radios hast du bereits einige Erfahrungen gesammelt, weil du eine wöchentliche Show beim KONTAKT-Radiosender in Frankreich führst. Was meinst du, warum spielt das Internet-Radio jetzt eine so große Rolle? DJ Serom: Für mich als DJ, ist es wirklich wichtig,dass ich eine Mixshow beim Radiosender bekam, denn es ist ein wunderbarer Ort, um seine Skillz auszudrücken, seine exklusiven Tracks zu teilen oder die Shouts von den Künstlern. Aber man muss die musikalische Stimmung des Radiosenders folgen, vor allem wenn man zum späten Nachmittag on Air geht. Der Hauptvorteil des Internet-Radios, sowie vom Podcast ist, dass man nicht diesen Nachteil hat, man kann seine Musik ohne Limit spielen. BlackBeats.FM: Wie und wann kam es eigentlich dazu, dass du Deejay wurdest? DJ Serom: Früher habe ich eine Menge Vinyls gekauft, als ich jung war, denn nur auf diese Weise konnte man an exklusiven Remixes gelangen. Natürlich versuchte ich in meinem Schlafzimmer diese Aufnahmen miteinander zu vermischen. Immer noch mit viel Arbeit und Praxis verbunden, fing ich mit 18 an, Mixtapes zu erstelen und diese in kleinen Clubs abzuspielen, sowie auch eine Mixshow auf lokalen Radiostationen. Ich wurde größer und größer, bis jetzt! BlackBeats.FM: Welche Songs sollten nie auf Parties fehlen? Hast du sogenannte "All-Time-Favourites"? DJ Serom: Es ist eine sehr, sehr harte Frage für einen DJ. Es gibt soooo viele Songs, die ich liebe. Zum Beispiel die Songs von Bad Boy (The Notorious BIG, Craig Mack etc.). BlackBeats.FM: Bist du ein Vollzeit-Deejay? Wenn ja, was wärst du jetzt, wenn du kein Deejay wärst? DJ Serom: Oh ja, das bin ich! Ich weiß absolut nicht, was sonst mein Job gewesen wäre. Auf jeden Fall liebe ich meinen Job. BlackBeats.FM: Du hast bereits mit vielen Künstlern zusammengearbeitet. An was erinnerst du dich am meisten und weshalb genau daran? DJ Serom: Ich hatte die Möglichkeit viele Künstler kennenzulernen. Manchmal konnten ich sogar mit denen etwas aufnehmen. Leider war es auch bei dem einen Treffen geblieben. Sie schauen auch kaum noch ihr E-Mail-Postfach. Dieses doofe Internet. Aber ich bin froh, dass ich Künstler, wie Pras von den Fugees, Big Ali, Kelis, Das Efx, Wu Tang, aber auch französische Rapper, wie NTM, IAM, BustaFlex und viele mehr treffen konnte. BlackBeats.FM: Was hälst du von dem Musikwandel? Die meiste Musik heute ist ziemlich electronisch. Findest du es gut oder magst du eher die Oldschoolbeats? DJ Serom: Hmm.. ich mag Electro, House etc. und ich bin wirklich dankbar, dass endlich eine Brücke zwischen der Electro Musik und der Urban Musik entstanden ist. Es ist eine gute Sache, denn solche Deejays wie ich können nun in mehr Clubs spielen, als zuvor. Aber Vorsicht ist geboten! Man sollte dies nicht missbrauchen und stehts wissen, wo die eigenen Wurzeln liegen. Also nicht die Oldschool Vibes vergessen. In meinem Fall ist es so, egal wo ich spiele oder hingehe, ich spiele immer einige Oldschool Klassiker. BlackBeats.FM: Wenn du einen Wunsch frei hättest, was würdest du dir dann wünschen? DJ Serom: Nie dieses Deejay-Business zu beenden! Es ist ein Segen die Arbeit und seine Leidenschaft zu kombinieren. Oh ja und ich möchte endlich meine geliebten Spiz`ike Jordan Sneakers finden, die ich schon seit letztem Monat vermisse. BlackBeats.FM: Wie sieht es bei dir mit neuen Projekten aus? Hast du schon etwas geplant? DJ Serom: 2011 war ein verrücktes Jahr. Touren, Party-Konzepte, Mixtapes, Radioshows usw. Alles war auf einem höheren Niveau als 2010. Und es ist immer noch das Motto für 2012: Auf dem Weg zur Spitze! Zudem hoffe ich, dass ihr alle in der Lage sein werdet meine erste Single zu hören. Bleibt am Ball! Glad to answer your questions [  ]BlackBeats.FM: In the area of the radio you've already collected quite a few experiences, because you lead a weekly show at the CONTACT radiostation in France. What do you mean, why the Internet radio now plays such a big role? DJ Serom: To me, as a Dj, it's really important to got a mixshow on radiostation b/c it's an awesome spot to express your skillz, share your exclusives tracks, or drops from the artists : but you have to follow the musical vibes of the station especially when you have to play on busy slot as end of afternoon for exemple ... The main advantage of the Internet radio, as well as the podcast, is that you dont have this drawback, you can play your music without limit ... BlackBeats.FM: How and when did it happen that you were Deejay? DJ Serom: I used to buy a lot of vinyls when I was young b/c this was the only way to get exclusives remixs on the B-side ... Naturally, I began to try to mix theses records each others in my bedroom ... Still with a lot of work and practice, at 18, I started to recording mixtapes, then playing parties in small clubs, as well as doing mixshow on local radiostations ... Bigger and bigger until now !! BlackBeats.FM: What songs should never be missing on parties? Have you Alltimefavourites? DJ Serom: Its a very very very hard questions for a Dj !!!! I got way tooooo much Records that I love !!!! Ones of my alltimefavz' are records from Bad Boy (The Notorious BIG, Craig Mack etc...) BlackBeats.FM: Are you a fulltime Deejay? If it´s so, what would you become if you are not now a Deejay? DJ Serom: Yes I am !! I really dont know what could be my job if I wasn't Dj now ... I love my job LOL !!! BlackBeats.FM: You have worked with many artists. What do you remember most and why? DJ Serom: I got the chance to meet lots of artists (and even sometimes recording with them). Unfortunetly, from now, you dont really have to meet them anymore, just take a look on your emails inbox ... Blame it on Internet ... But Im glad to met such artists as Pras from the Fugees, Big Ali, Kelis, Das Efx, WuTang as well as big french rappers like NTM, IAM, BustaFlex, and more ... BlackBeats.FM: What do you think of the Musicmovement? Mostly today the music is always electronic. Do you find it good or do you like more the oldschool beats? DJ Serom: Hmm ... I like electro, house etc, and I really appreciated that a bridge is now open between electronic and urban music. Its a good thing b/c urban Djs like me can now plays in more clubs than before. But warning, you dont have to abuse of it, dont forget where you came from, dont forget the good oldschool vibes lol ... In my case, everywhere I play, everywhere I go, I always play a bunch of classics hits [ ]BlackBeats.FM: If you had one wish, what would you wish? DJ Serom: Never stop this Dj game !! Its a bless to combine your work and your passion ... Oh yes, and finnaly found this crazy Spiz'ike Jordan sneackers that I missed last month lol ! BlackBeats.FM: How it looks at you with new projects? Have you already planned out what? DJ Serom: 2011 was a crazy year : tours, party concepts, mixtape, podcast, radioshow ... Everything was on higher level than 2010 ... And its still the motto for 2012 : on way to the TOP !!!!! Moreover, I hope yall be able to listen to my 1st single !! Stay tuned !!
