 BlackBeats.FM: Hallo “E” the R&B Hip-hop Rockstar. Willkommen zum Interview mit BlackBeats.FM, einer der größten Webradiostationen in Deutschland. Geht es dir gut?“E”: Mir geht es sehr gut. Ich fühle mich geehrt hier auf BlackBeats.FM zu sein. BlackBeats.FM: Erzähl uns etwas über dich und deine Kindheit. Wo und wie bist du aufgewachsen? “E”: Ich wurde am 31. Mai in West Philadelphia geboren. Mein Familienleben war wirklich cool. Aufgewachsen bin ich in der ganzen Welt, Deutschland als einer der Orte, in der ich für eine Weile gelebt habe. Mein Vater war in der Armee, also sind wir (meine Mutter und meine zwei Schwestern) viel gereist, aber dies hat uns auch ermöglicht, viel Erfahrungen zu sammeln und aus verschiedenen Dingen zu lernen. BlackBeats.FM: Deine Mutter und Tante taten alles für deine Musikkarriere. Sie kauften Instrumente, schrieben dich in Schulchöre etc. Was bedeutet es für dich, dass sie dein Talent erkannten? “E”: Ja, meine Familie hat im Allgemeinen angenommen, dass ich wirklich Interesse an der Musik habe. Meine Tante hat mich mit zu ihren Band-Proben genommen, so dass sie mich dem Leistungs-Aspekt wirklich aussetzte. Ich werde nie vergessen, dass sie diejenige war, die mich zu Michael Jackson brachte, indem ich ihn im TV sah. Meine Mutter liebt es mich singen zu hören, also ermutigte sie mich immer auf Familienfeste zu singen (welche ich im Übrigen hasse LOL). Mein Vater mochte die Tatsache, dass ich Instrumente spiele, Trommeln, Bass, Keyboards etc. Es ist also ein gutes Gefühl, diese Art von Unterstützung zu bekommen, in Etwas was ich genieße. BlackBeats.FM: Du gibst Tributes an Michael Jackson, Prince, R. Kelly und Mary J. Blige. Was bedeutet es für dich? “E”: Das sind einige der Besten in der Branche und ihre Musik inspiriert mich sowohl als Künstler als auch als Songwriter. Ich konnte in der Musikindustrie sein, Michael und Prince schürten, dass Entertainer Mentalität in mir steckt, so jedes Mal, wenn ich die Bühne betrete möchte ich unterhalten. R. Kelly ist ohne Zweifel eines der besten Songwriter und Mary J. Blige ist einfach ein unglaublicher Geist, so soulful, ich Liebe sie und natürlich gibt es so viele andere Künstler, durch welche ich beeinflusst wurde oder bin, Jay-Z, Lauryn Hill, Notorious B.I.G. die Liste geht weiter lol BlackBeats.FM: Dein letztes Album, The Prelude, wurde 2008 veröffentlicht. Was machst du zur Zeit? “E”: “: Im Moment arbeite ich an meinem nächsten Projekt mit dem Titel "Rise of an Artist", was ich als mein Evolution Project bezeichne. Ich experimentiere ein bisschen einen kantigeren Sound als das, was ich auf "The Prelude" zeigte. Die Musik wird den Namen R & B Hip-Hop Rockstar verkörpern, es gibt noch kein Release-Termin aber ich halte euch auf dem Laufenden. Ich bin auch dabei eine Menge Kooperationen zu schließen und schreibe für verschiedene Künstler. Ich habe gerade eine EP mit dem Titel "Back 2 U" veröffentlicht, das ab sofort für alle meine Fans auf www.rnbhiphoprockstar.bandcamp.com zur Verfügung steht. BlackBeats.FM: Welche Wünsche hast du für die Zukunft? “E”: Auch ich möchte nur ein etablierter Künstler / Entertainer werden, der der Welt auf jeden Fall etwas zurück geben will. Ich bin auch an Charityveranstaltungen interessiert. Alles in allem will ich mit meiner Musik jeden beeinflussen, der es hört. BlackBeats.FM: "E" der R & B Hip-Hop-Rockstar ist ein sehr ungewöhnlicher Name. Verbirgt sich eine Geschichte hinter deinem Namen? “E”: Yeah die Geschichte lautet: Ich entschied mich für diesen Namen, weil die verschiedenen Arten von Musik, die ich genieße, R & B für den Gesang Hip-Hop für die Musical-Laufwerke und Rockstar für die Persönlichkeit. Die Haltung zeige ich in meinem Live-Shows sowie auf Aufnahmen, das ist natürlich die vereinfachte Version der Geschichte, warum ich diesen Namen gewählt habe lol BlackBeats.FM: Vielen Dank für das informative Interview. Welcome to the interview with germanys biggest radiostation in the BlackMusic Genre. How are you? “E”: I'm doin rather well, I'm indeed honored to be here on BlackBeats.FM BlackBeats.FM: Tell us something about you and your childhood. Where and how have you been born and raised up? “E”: well I was born in West Philadelphia on May 31st, my family life growing up was really cool. I grew up all over the world, Germany being one of places I've lived for a while, my father was in the military so myself my mother and my 2 sisters traveled alot, but that enabled us to experience alot of different things growing up. BlackBeats.FM: Your mother and aunt did everything possible for your music career. They are buying instruments, signing you up to school choruses etc. What did it mean for you, that they recognice your talent? “E”: yeah, well my family in general embraced the fact that I was really interested in music, my aunt took me to most of her band rehearsals, so she really exposed me to the performance aspect and I can't forget that she was the one who introduced me to Michael Jackson by showing me a tv program that he was on, and my mother just loved to hear me sing, so she encouraged it alot by making me sing at family gatherings (which i used to hate by the way, lol) and my Dad liked the fact that I could play instruments as well, drums,, bass guitar, keyboards etc. so it really made me feel good to have that kind of support in something that I indeed enjoyed. BlackBeats.FM: You give tribute to your influences such as Michael Jackson, Prince, R. Kelly and Mary J. Blige. What does it mean for you? “E”: well those are some of best in the business, and their music reallyinspired as an artist as well as a songwriter to strive to be the best thatI could be in the music industry, Michael and Prince always fueled that entertainer mentality in me,so every time I hit the stage I want to make sure that you're thoroughly entertained, R.Kelly is without a doubt one of the best songwriters in the game and Mary J. Blige is just an incredible spirit, so soulful i love that about her, and of course there are so many other artists I'm influenced by like Mint Condition, Jay-Z, Lauryn Hill, Notorious B.I.G. the list goes on lol BlackBeats.FM: Your last album, The Prelude, was released in 2008. What are you doing now? “E”: ": right now I'm working on my next project entitled 'Rise of an Artist 'which is what I like to call my evolution project. I'm experimenting with a bit of an edgier sound than what I gave the world on 'The Prelude' the music is going to embody the name R&B Hip-Hop Rockstar, there isn't a release date for it as of but as soon as I have one I'll be sure to let BlackBeats know. I'm also doing alot of collaborations and writing for different artists and I just released an ep entitled 'Back 2 U' which is available now for all my fans on www.rnbhiphoprockstar.bandcamp.com BlackBeats.FM: What wishes do you have for the future? “E”: well I just want to become an established artist / entertainer the world over, I definitely want to give back to all the up and coming artists as well I'm also very interested in being involved in charitable organizations too, all in all I just want my music to influence anyone who listens. BlackBeats.FM: E” the R&B Hip-hop Rockstar is a very unusual artist name. Is there a story, behind your name? Or why do you call so? “E”: yeah the story goes like this, I chose that name simply because of the different styles of music that I enjoy, R&B for the vocals Hip-Hop for the musical drive and Rockstar for the persona and the attitude I display at my live shows as well as on recordings, that of course is the simplified version of the story of how I chose that name lol BlackBeats.FM: Thank you very much for that interview.
